The Creative Computing course is designed for students who want to combine creativity with technology and develop real-world media skills. This course provides a broad introduction to the digital creative industries, with a focus on hands-on learning and project-based work.

R093 – Creative iMedia in the Media Industry (40%)

  • Understand how digital media is planned and produced
  • Explore the impact of technology on media businesses
  • Learn about industry roles, project planning, and media regulations

Assessment: Written exam (1 hour 30 minutes)

R094 – Visual Identity & Digital Graphics (30%)

  • Explore branding, logo design, and digital graphics
  • Learn to create high-quality graphics using industry-standard software
  • Produce a media portfolio showcasing creativity and technical skills

Assessment: Coursework project

Optional Unit (30%) – Choose a specialisation:

  • Video Production – Learn film editing and visual storytelling
  • Game Design – Develop game characters and narrative concepts
  • Web & Digital Design – Create engaging digital experiences
  • Marketing & Interactive Media – Understand advertising and user engagement

Assessment: Coursework project
