What a day!Earlier this month, Leeds East Academy proudly celebrated the graduation of 42 students from our Student LEAdership Training Programme in a truly memorable event filled with pride, joy and excitement.
Dressed in mortarboards and graduation attire, each student confidently walked across the stage to receive their certification, marking the successful completion of their leadership journey. The atmosphere in the hall was electric as families, staff and fellow students came together to recognise the dedication, resilience and commitment shown by every graduate.
A special highlight of the ceremony saw each student pop a balloon on stage, releasing a shower of coloured confetti that symbolised the area of leadership they will now champion across the academy:
- Red – Behaviour (with Mr Glover)
- Green – Personal Development (with Ms Simons)
- Blue – Student Experience (with Miss Capstick)
- Yellow – Quality of Education (with Miss Moss)
These leadership areas are now proudly represented on the students' new hoodies and black polo shirts, with coloured accents displayed in their logos.
The celebration also featured a stunning performance from the LEA Empresses, inspiring speeches from students and staff, and plenty of opportunities for proud parents and carers to capture photographs of their beaming children as they marked this significant achievement.
The Student LEAdership Programme has equipped these young leaders with the skills, confidence and determination to make a positive impact within our academy community. We are incredibly proud of everything they have achieved so far and excited to see the difference they will make in their new leadership roles.
Congratulations to all 42 graduates – this is only the beginning of your leadership journey.
