LEA went spotty for Children in Need
Another fantastic day for Children in Need that showed Leeds East Academy to be a place that is caring and fun.
As soon as students and staff walked into the building they could tell that we meant business and that Children in Need was the focus of the day.
The corridors were covered with spots and Pudsey was everywhere to be seen. The school was awash with colour reminding everyone what the day was about.
Students were even dressed in uniforms that were adorned with colourful spots and Pudsey ears. Many of the students and staff dressed like this making the school a vibrant and amazing arena that created a buzz throughout the day.
Many of the fun events were well attended by both students and staff. There were two Bake Off competitions showing the fantastic imagination and creativity of everyone at LEA.
The spotty treats made by staff and students were judged by Executive Principal, Mr Whitaker.
The staff Bake Off winner was Miss Moss's chocolate orange Pudsey decorated cup cakes and the student Bake Off was won by Year 7 student Kodey with his Pudsey Bear cake.
Well done you two and also to everyone that baked. Thank you to Mr Whitaker for judging.
During break and lunches there were various stalls helping to boost the funds that had already been raised. Students could buy tickets for the chocolate tombola or the raffle; give the Pudsey Bear treasure hunt a go; purchase the yummy spotty treats from the bake sale; or, students and staff could have their faces decorated with paint and glitter.
Once again, a big thank you to everyone that was involved and supported during the day. It was yet another amazing success with everyone at Leeds East Academy having fun.
We look forward to fundraising again next year.
